Tyton Turns 4

Happy Saturday To You and Thank You for stopping by!

Today is my grandson Tyton's 4th birthday and I, being the proud Grammy, am here to gloat.  LOL!  Not really, but I am here to post the card I made for my little man.
Here is Edwin with Airplane having a great day in the Arizona sunshine.  I colored Edwin with my Copics to match this great masculine striped paper by Scrap Works called Buddy Boy.  The Light Blue Dots paper by Recollections matched perfectly as did all of my Bassill cardstock.
I made this into an easel card to give it interest while keeping the design clean and simple.  The number 4 was cut out on my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook alphabet set on Roly Poly.  I did some stitching and aside from the buttons and brads, the embossed grass, cloud and sun are my only other embellishments.
I really do appreciate you popping by and I thank you for your kind comments.  They really do make my day and keep me motivated to blog.

Wintery Scene

Oh My Goodness!  It feels so good to be back in my craft shed and at my desk!  I hope your holidays were the best and that you were able to avoid the colds and flu that seemed to have gotten hold of just about everyone I know, including myself.

I have for you today, a wintery scene with my all time favorite Santa's Little Helper.  I know most everyone has a hard time choosing their favorite Magnolia stamp because they're all gorgeous, but this one is my favorite becuzzz she was the one that caught my attention the first time I ever saw a Magnolia Ink magazine and therefore the first Magnolia stamp I ever bought.
Sweet Tilda has been colored with Copics going off of a color combination recommended by Vili of Vili's Art.  Once I started coloring, I had to keep going and so created a tag in preparation for next Christmas.  I had such fun using a bunch of my dies, including Tim Holtz's Packages and Bows that I got for Christmas...  Okay, I gave it to myself for Christmas but that counts, right?  There is tons of glitter for that icy, North Pole feel and I even did up the back side a bit.
Everything I used for this tag is listed at the bottom of this post.  Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek and thank you so very much for your lovely comments.

Jingle Jangle Tilda

Happy Friday my Crafty Peeps!

I wanted to hurry up and get this post up before five o'clock because, a) there is a challenge that I want to enter ending at that time and, b) I have to hurry and finish cleaning because my mom is coming in from Milwaukee this evening.  I have been running around like a crazy woman this entire week with putting up Christmas decorations, making decorations, bringing the Christmas china in from storage, trying to get this card made...  PHEW!  I need a long winters nap!

It has been cloudy and raining all day long and so my pictures didn't come out all that well, but I will try again tomorrow and post some more.  (It's still raining and these are the best I could do.  Still much better than yesterday's though),
This beautiful little lady is Jingle Jangle Tilda and she is from last year's A Christmas Story collection.  She is going to finish off that tree by hanging her red bells on the empty side.  I have colored her up in my Copics, inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and used Frantage for snow.
I used some word paper (from stash) for the background of my card and then printed out a red snowflake patterned paper from Raspberry Road to add over that.  I made a frame from corrugated paper and the tree is from a Sizzix/Tim Holtz die.  I went crazy with the Frantage on everything.  The snowflakes on the right are buttons from Joann's that came in a decent sized bag and it only cost me $3 with a coupon.  Oh, the possibilities with these just get the creative juices flowing!  Hee Hee!  There is a tag tucked in the top of the card that reads "May all your Christmases be white".
Thank you for putting up with my craziness!  Have a great day and better tomorrows!

Santa Edwin Lantern

Good Thursday Morning My Crafting Friends!

Today I am posting my first lantern project.  The lantern itself took a while to get together but I believe the results are well worth it.  You can insert a battery operated candle into it and display it proudly or fill it with candy and give as a gift.  (I say put the candle at the bottom and then fill it with candy so that when the receiver finishes the treats, they can then display it).
Thank You So Much For Stopping By Today!

Zombie Tilda

Happy Tuesday My Crafty Friends!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year because living in Arizona means it's almost always too hot to do anything but swim.  But come October, the temperatures drop below 100 degrees and all of my pent up energy wants out and to get things done.  On top of that, YAY, the hubster is now full time at our own shop which means that I have time to do what I love to do again.  CRAFT!!!

I'm excited to get working on Christmas projects but I just had to squeeze in a little something for Halloween.  Here is sweet Tilda ariving at the party to scare the pants off everyone but, of course, she is just too cute to spook anyone.
This little goodie bag will hold some treats for that extra special trick-or-treater.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  The challenges I would like to enter are listed below and a supply list is at the bottom of the post.  Your comments make my day and are very much appreciated.

Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Heartfelt Christmas

Hello Sweet Friends!  I hope this post finds you all healthy and happy.

I've been working on this card for almost two weeks.  Finding time to craft has been dodgy because of my hubby going back to his regular job for a little while, but he's put in his notice and will be working for our own shop as soon as they find his replacement.  THEN I will have more time for crafting and I'm very excited about that.  Anyway, here is my latest creation:
This is Joyful Tilda and she is serving up some love (and cookies) for her family and friends on Christmas Day.  I just love this stamp!
I don't make easel cards very often but I felt this one needed to be.  I also went with non-traditional colors and that is very difficult for me.  I am such a stickler for tradition in almost all things that stepping outside of my box causes me to panic a little bit.  Oh, and procrastinate.  :p
I found this beautiful sentiment stamp at my local craft store and knew it could be used for so many occasions...
Here is an extra little surprise, a peek-a-boo card.  It's like a little hidden treasure.
I think this will be a great way to give a gift card, because sometimes you just get a gift card in a boring old envelope and it isn't as much fun.  This will make it so much more special.

Thank You So Much for stopping by and taking a peek!  Comments are always welcome and appreciated.  The challenges I'm entering are listed below and my supply list is at the bottom of this post.  Have a wonderful day!

My Friend Darla

Hello My Sweet Blogging Friends!

It feels like it's been forever since I last made a card and posted.  There has been so much going on between the last post and this one!  My husband and I bought an auto painting business and while he is still at his regular job, I've been running the show at the new place.  By the time I get home, I am exhausted.  Last Friday, my husband had hernia surgery and has been hanging out at our shop this week so I was actually able to sneak in a little bit of crafting time while he answered phone calls and did estimates.  :)

I made this card for my dear friend Darla.  Her and I only just met each other this year, but we realized right off that we have so much in common and think so much alike.  We're always joking about how everything in life is so much better with wine...

I colored up this little cutie, Tilda with Love Potion, with my Copics and did up the card to enter a few challenges.  To celebrate the Fall season, I have pulled the flowers and fall leaves from my stash of paper crafting goodies.  I think they go quite nicely with the striped paper...

Here is the sentiment on the inside.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.  That always makes my day!
