Blue & Brown

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Happy November!

I can remember my mom saying that the older you get, the faster time goes.  She was absolutely right!  I thought that once I became an empty nester, things would slow down...  HA!  I'm much busier now than I was before and there are never enough minutes in a day for me to accomplish everything that I want to.  That being said, I cannot believe that it's less than two months until Christmas.  I planned to have everything done by now but I have accomplished nothing except for starting to write out a list of things to do.  :p

This is my second make as guest designer for TOMIC (The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge) this go around, and the theme for the November challenge is Blue & Brown.

This beautiful stamp by Magnolia Sweden is called Old Swedish Church from the 2012 A Christmas Story collection and the Merry Christmas Text is from the 2015 A Lovely Christmas collection.

The snowflakes are die cut from various DooHickey's boxes and coated in puffy paint and the Tilda Tag at the top is my favorite and most used Magnolia DooHickey's die.  The lovely patterned paper collection is Farmhouse by Nitwit Designs.

Distress Inks - Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have a most wonderful day!

Enjoying Some Fall Weather

Good Morning To You, My Crafty Friends!

I hope you're enjoying the awesome fall weather as much as I am.  I always look so forward to when our daytime temperatures drop down out of the 100's and I can actually wear a jacket to take my Bugatti for his walk in the wee hours.

Today I bring you some inspiration using lovely Magnolia products, which you all know how much I love.  I have been invited to be the Guest Designer for The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge this month and this is what I came up with for my first make.

This sweet girl is Tilda With Peanut from the 2012 Turning Leaves Collection.  I've had this adorable stamp for a long time but this is the first time I've used her.

All of the flowers are hand made using Magnolia DooHickey's dies listed in order going counter-clockwise; Tilda Tag (2011 Sweet Christmas Dreams, Fall Leaves and Wheat (DooHickey's Box Volume 6 (Harvest), Cornflower (DooHickey's Pop Up Box (Midsummer Nights Dream), Poinsettias (DooHickey's Box Volume 2 (All I Want For Christmas) I cut each one 8 times to make this large flower.

To continue, I've also used Leaves and Cloud (DooHickey's Box Volume 4 (Le Jardin), Medium Flower (DooHickey's Box Volume 5 (Celebration), Stars (DooHickey's Box Volume 7 (The Holidays Are Coming) to make the flower centers, Small Flower (DooHickey's Box Volume 10 (Buzz Buzz) that I cut 8 times for each clover flower, Rocket Salad (2015 Little Italy), Bird House (2019 Magnolia Day).

Distress Inks: Aged Mahogany, Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint, Pumice Stone, Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Weathered Wood

Thank You so much for stopping by and taking a look.  Your comments are always very much appreciated.  Have a most wonderful day!

The Countdown Continues; 3 Months Until Christmas

Good Day To You Crafty Friends!

I swear, I am not posting a countdown to Christmas intentionally, it's just a happy coincidence.  LOL!

This post is going to be rather short and simple, or should I say clean and simple, because I have made a CAS card this time around.

This beautiful lady is Tilda from the Magnolia Stamps Midsummer's Night Dream 2019 Pop-Up Box.  I have stamped my image using Memento ink and then embossed it with clear powder.  I then colored her with Distress Inks and added the sentiment from the same set using Memento ink again.

The frame is cut from the Magnolia Vintage Frames and Tags die set from the 2014 Pink Edition.

As you can see, I'm playing with a new backdrop.  I need to be able to photograph my cards late in the day now and therefore needed a new set-up.  This isn't a bad start but it still needs some work.

Distress Inks - Aged Mahogany, Antique Linen,  Bundled Sage, Fired Brick, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Pumice Stone, Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Vintage Photo, Weathered Wood, Wild Honey

Thank You so much for stopping by and taking a look.  Your comments are always very much appreciated.  Have a most wonderful day!

Only 4 More Months 'Till Christmas

Hello Sweet Crafting Friends!  Happy 4 months until Christmas!!!

I'm so glad you were able to stop by today and take a look at my latest make.  I have had this idea sketched out for a while now and I am so happy to have finally gotten a chance to make it.  This was originally to be a snow globe design but evolved into a lollipop card.  Funny how that happens most of the time, that my projects end up being different than the original plan...

This is Frozen Tilda from the 2017 Christmas Party collection by Magnolia.  I've colored her with Copic markers and water-colored the background with Distress Inks.  The sentiments are from the same collection and are called Starlight Kit.

These are tags on the left side and they are part of the So Wrapped Snowflake Tag Kit from the 2013 DooHickey's Winter Wonderland collection.  The five snowflakes with the pearl centers added are from that kit too.

The lantern and branch are Sizzix dies and I've decorated them with several DooHickey's Dies.  The Holly is from Club #2 (All I Want For Christmas), the Pine is from Club #7 (The Holidays Are Coming) and the Candle is from Club #12 (Noel).  The beautiful glittery Stars are also from Club #12.

COPIC MARKERS - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20  Costume: N0, N2, N4, R22, R24, R27, R29, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9

DISTRESS INKS - Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed

Thank you so much for stopping by today and taking a look.  Your comments are always very much appreciated.  Have a most wonderful day!

Good Day Everyone and Happy Friday!!!

This is Pisces Tilda and I just LOVE her!  She is from the 2014 Zodiac collection by Magnolia.  Isn't she pretty?  I've colored her with Copic markers this time around but plan to do another card with her in Distress Inks very soon.

I really wanted this card to be colorful for my niece Kendall.  Everything else is colored in Distress Inks, including the background, all of the dies and the Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon.

The dies are all Magnolia DooHickey's as follows: Tilda Tag (Sweet Christmas Dreams 2011), Seaweed & Jellyfish (Club vol. 1 Summer), Cloud (Club vol. 4 Le Jardin), Goldfish & Coral ( Club vol. 8 My Best Friend), Sun & Stitched Center (Club vol. 10 Buzz Buzz), Leaf Stem (Club vol. 12 Noel), Starfish & Seashell (Club vol. 15 Sail Away)

You Are The Blueberry To My Pancake

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to my Craft Shed, where I do more procrastinating than actual crafting.  LOL!  Oh, and happy Wednesday to you.

Today I bring you this card using the super sweet Breakfast At Tilda's stamp collection by Magnolia Sweden, exclusively made for Magnolia-licious.  Isn't she a beauty?  I've colored her up with Copic markers and accented with Distress Inks, white Gelly Roll pen, and Glossy Accents on the Maple Syrup bottle.

All of my flowers are hand made.  The little blue flowers are made using Magnolia DooHickey's Dies from the Box #9 and the white leaf stems are Box #12.  For the pink flowers I used the Spellbinders Vintage Rose dies, the green leaves are made with the Magnolia Rose Leaf die from the 2011 You're So Special collection and the blue gingham tags are cut with the Tilda Tag die from the 2011 Sweet Christmas Dreams.  Oh, and I cannot forget the Magnolia Silver Ware dies from the 2013 With Love collection.

I hand dyed the Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon with Aged Mahogany to match the pink flowers which were also colored with Distress Inks.

Copic Markers - Skin: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R01, R20, R22  Hair: YR21, E34, E53, E57  Pink: RV32, R83, R85, R89  Blue: BV17, BV20, BV23, BV29  Pancakes & Syrup: Y11, YR23, YR24, YR27  Counter & Stool: C00, C1, C3, E31, E35, E37  Shoes: C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9  Leaves: YG91, YG95

Sunflower ♥

Hello Everyone!  Today is my day to shine at the TOMIC challenge blog as Guest Designer.  I am so very excited to have been chosen!  I am also excited to tell you about the brand new challenge going on over at Magnolia-licious where the theme for this month is birthstone so as you can see, I've chosen Topaz.  Come join us for a chance to win $20 to use at Magnolia-licious Stamps, Dies and So Much More store.

I made this for my mom for Mother's Day.  She has a very lovely yard with the most beautiful flower gardens.  She is one of the most thoughtful people I have ever known and I hate that we live so far apart right now, but mom, if you see this, I hope you know how very much I Love and Miss You.

This BEE-You-tiful little lady is from the 2019 Magnolia Day Bee-You collection.  I have colored her with Copic markers, added Star Dust Stickles to her wings and white Jelly pen here and there for accent.  I have stamped various accent stamps around her, including the Honeycomb from the same collection and Sparkle Hearts from 2014 Waiting For Christmas.

The Sunflowers are made of Foamiran, are die cut with DooHickey's Box volume 6 (Harvest) and colored with chalks that I've had for almost 20 years now.  Right about when I first started scrapbooking...  :/  Oh, and the leaves were cut with DooHickey's Rose Leaf from 2011 You Are So Special.

The tags are Tilda Tags 2011 Sweet Christmas Dreams (yes, I really do have other tag dies, I swear) and the sweet little bee in the upper-left corner is from DooHickey's Box volume 10 (buzz buzz).

Copic Markers - Skin: E000, E00, E4, E11, E21, R01, R20, R22  Hair: YR21, E35, E53, E57  Outfit: Y0000, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y28, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, B32
Distress Ink: Walnut Stain

Thank You So Much for stopping by and taking a look and while you're here, please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Have A BEE-YOU-tiful Day!!!

Happy Birthday My Friend!

Good Morning Everyone, Happy 1st Day of May!

I made this for my very good friend from grammar school, which means we’ve known each other a VERY long time.  LOL!  We live about 1800 miles apart but we still write and exchange cards for birthdays and Christmas.  We never call which is old fashioned, I know, but in a way it keeps us closer.

I kept the design simple to show off the gorgeous Magnolia stamp.  This cutie-patootie is Hooray Tilda from the 2019 Hugs & Kisses collection.
I just love how she’s like, BAM!  HERE I AM!!!  LET’S CELEBRATE!

She is colored with Copic markers and edges are inked with Distress Inks.  The sweet balloon paper is from Silouhette.

The image and balloon paper are cut with the Rounded Frames & Tags DooHickeys dies from the 2014 Pink collection.  The doilies peeking from behind are DooHickeys' Lace Coaster from the 2013 Once Upon a Time collection.

Tilda is surrounded by some postage cancellation stamps as well as the smaller of the Waiting for Christmas 2014 – Sparkle Hearts.  Sequins add to the festiveness (is that a word?) and that beautiful pink Polish lace, I think, adds so much sweetness to the whole design.

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E31, E34, R01, R20, R22  Hair: YR21, E35, E53, E57  Dress & Tights: BG0000, BG11, BG15, BG49  Shoes: E42, E44

Distress Inks - Walnut Stain

Thank You for stopping by.  I hope you have a most wonderful day.

Spring Has Sprung

Good Morning Everyone, Happy Thursday!

Are you looking forward to the weekend as much as I am?

I've made this little something with one of my new stamps from Magnolia Day.  I have no idea what she is called since she came as a bonus.  Isn't she a cutie?  The little bunny is so adorable!  I've colored them with Copic markers and added some sparkle with Wink of Stella on the apron, the boot heart and the bunny's tail.

The beautiful papers used for this card are from Maja..  The blue is from the Vintage Romance collection and the stripe is from Vintage Spring collection.  This fun little basket is from the Magnolia DooHickey Club Magazine vol 2, the larger flowers are from vol 4, and the little flowers are from vol 5.

The Tilda Tag and Rose Leaf dies are ones I use in almost every one of my cards.  I can't help it, I love them.

I've added lots of pearls all around the card and, how could I not add some gorgeous lace?  The doily I cut using a Silhouette file and Vintage Seam Binding are from my stash.  I just had to add a ladybug too.  :D

Copic Markers - Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E31, R20, R22, R01  Hair: E21, E18, E39, E99, YR27  Apron: W0, W1, W3  Shirt: G40, YG91, YG93  Pants: B91, B93, B95  Bunny: E41, E42, E43, R20  Basket & Flowers: RV91, RV93, R83, E29 E70, E74, E79  Background: B60

Distress Inks - Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain

Thank You for stopping by.  I hope you have a most wonderful weekend.

Breakfast At Tilda's - Double Slider Card

Good Morning My Dear Crafting Friends!

Welcome to my blog on this 3rd day of the release of Breakfast At Tilda's.  This exclusive stamp was created by Magnolia-licious owner Shawn Mills in collaboration with Pauline of Magnolia Sweden.  This stamp can ONLY be purchased here at the Magnolia-licious Stamps, Dies and So Much More Store

Shawn wanted this stamp to represent his home country of Canada, where pancakes and maple syrup are served for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  This exclusive set comes as a set of four.

And here she is...  Isn't she gorgeous?  Tilda is eating a delicious stack of blueberry pancakes with maple syrup on this glorious sunny day.

Here it is opened up as a double slider card.  On the right side are the three other stamps that come with this lovely set, the "You Are The Blueberry To My Pancake" sentiment and two delicious blueberries.  On the left side I have used the Kitchen from the 2009 A Little Yummy collection.  I took away the top of the hutch and added the mixing bowls.

The lovely patterned papers are from Maja Design's, Vintage Romance collection.  I used Foamiran for the flowers, cut with Magnolia's Rose Leaf die and the flower from My DooHickey Box Club 5 set (Celebration).   The sun is part of the My DooHickeys Box Club 10 set (Buzz Buzz) and is still available in the store (I love this set, I use it all the time).

I die cut the two tags from Magnolia DooHickeys die, Tilda Tags (my faves) and tied them up with Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon, then added some charms that I've had forever.  The side, slide out panels are cut with the Recipe Card die from the 2017 Recipe Card collection.

Distress Inks: Aged Mahogany, Black Soot, Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire, Fired Brick, Gathered Twigs, Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Wild Honey

Copic Marker: N0

Memento Inks: Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa

It's Not About The Destination

(Be sure to go all the way to the end to see something really cool)

Welcome Everyone!  I hope you are having a most fantastic day!

The Magnolia-licious Challenge is under way and our theme for this month is, Your Favorite Magnolia Stamp.

Hmm...  I don't know about you, but I don't have one favorite.  I'm pretty sure it's impossible.  My favorite is whichever one I'm coloring at that moment.  I've been addicted to these gorgeous stamps since I first laid eyes on a Magnolia Ink magazine in December of 2010 and every one I own has a special place in my heart.  For example...

I made this card for my youngest daughter Ashley.  She is the traveler of our family and before the end of this month, she will be moving to Pennsylvania to advance her career.  I am so happy for her and proud of her achievements, but also sad to see my baby go.

This is Let's Go! Tilda from the 2019 Let's Go collection.  I believe she's wondering, "where to next?"  Also from this collection is the adorable Taxi (the Journey Text that comes with it can be seen below on one of the tags).  The Eiffel Tower in the background is part of the 2017 World Magnolia Day collection, With Love From Paris.

The Magnolia DooHickeys dies are: Tilda Tag, Sakura Lanterns (branch) and Club #5 (flower).

~~
TA DAAAAAA!!!!!
Isn't this just the coolest?  You can add lights to any card with Memory Lights.  If I had more, I would have put some in the headlights too.  You can add several lights to one system and they're super simple to install.  Click on the link and it will take you right to it.

Come on and join our challenge for your chance to win $20 to spend at the Magnolia-licious Store and to be our Guest Designer for the May challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a most wonderful day!
