I have for you today, my Tilda's Town Design Team inspiration make for our newest challenge and our theme for this week is YOUR FAVORITE SEASON. My favorite season is Autumn. When I lived in the Midwest, I didn't have a favorite and I looked forward to each new glorious season. Now that I live in the Desert Southwest, I look forward to the temperatures dropping below 100 degrees, the approach of the Holiday Season and my mom coming for her annual visit. After that it just gets hot again. :p
Here is Tilda With Carrots from the 2012 Turning Leaves collection. I've paired her up with the Spring Fence from the 2010 Happy Easter collection and colored them with Copic Markers.
What do you think of these leaves? I was inspired to do some watercoloring after visiting all of the blogs participating in the recent SSS blog hop. Wow, those ladies are talented!
Here is a side view to give you an idea of the depth of the leaves and such. See that acorn in there? That was supposed to be a focal point, but I ended up covering it for the most part. The lace was one of those happy accidents from a while back. I was dying it for a project and it came out way too dark so I tossed it in a drawer. It went perfectly with this project (at least until I covered it up too).
The purpley/blue color on my clock is another happy accident. I wanted to bring out a deeper brown and put cracks in it by embossing it with ultra thick embossing enamel. I didn't realize that I grabbed the one that tinted blue but am happy that I did.
