My Sweet Valentine

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest card made with Magnolia stamps and DooHickeys dies, which I adore!  I'm pretty sure you might have picked up on that already if you've been here before.  :D

This is my first card as part of the Papercraft Business Design Team.  For those of you who don’t know about this company, it’s actually a place where us paper crafters can learn to improve our visibility out there in the cyber world.  In other words, it helps us level up our blogs and stand out in social media.  Check out their website: Papercraft Bussiness to get the 411.

That being said, Papercraft Business also has a challenge that you can enter here: Papercraft Business Challenges.  This month it’s Anything Goes with the optional theme of Love and/or Valentine’s Day.  Follow the optional theme for an extra entry to WIN this month’s prize which is this super cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn, Love You Tons.

For my inspiration project, I have made this Valentine using my all-time favorite Valentine image by Magnolia Stamps, Tilda With Heart Arrows, from the 2013 With Love collection.

The papers are by Nitwit Designs and the collection is Everlasting.  You may have noticed that I've used this collection in several of my recent projects...  ♫ LOVE IT!! ♫

I've used lots of Magnolia DooHickeys dies here:  Tilda Tag, Cloud Tag from the Cloud & Flag set, Lace Coaster, Summer Leaves, and I used Scalloped Dotted Lace to frame Tilda.

The DooHickeys Club dies used are: Apron Heart from #2 (All I Want For Christmas), Small Cloud from #4 (Le Jardin), Tiny Flower from #5 (Celebration), and Bunny Tail from #8 (My Best Friend).

Sentiment Tags stamped with old Stampendous quad cube.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for stopping in to take a peek at my latest make, a sweet baby girl card.  Though I don't know of anyone who is expecting, I just couldn't resist using this adorable stamp.  And who knows?  This card just might come in handy one of these days when I least expect it.

Silent Night

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had the most wonderful Holiday Season and I hope your New Year is off to a great start.  My November was insane, my December was calm and January seems to be heading in the right direction.

Here is my first Christmas card of 2019.  I would like to complete at least 10 Christmas cards before Thanksgiving.  High hopes, I know but you know how the song goes...

This is Sweetness Angel Tilda from the 2016 A Touch of Love collection.  Isn't she just so sweet keeping watch over the town?

 The poinsettias, pine, mistletoe and little village are made from various Magnolia DooHickey club dies.  They were all cut from white paper and colored with Distress Inks and Copic Markers.

See the postage stamps?  Both the die and Silent Night rubber stamp are from Magnolia Vintage Boxes.

Here are the tags cut from the Magnolia Tilda's Tag die that are tucked into the Sizzix envelope.  The Snowflakes sentiment is another beautiful Magnolia Vintage Box stamp and the Angels sentiment is by Sunny Studio.

Wedding Day Countdown

Hello Everyone!

Today I come to you as a Guest Designer for Magnolia-licious and the challenge this month is Anything Goes with the option of Wedding.

I was excited about the optional wedding theme because I have had this idea in my head for a while and this was the perfect opportunity to finally make it.

This is Mr & Mrs Magnolia from the 2018 You're Invited collection.  Are they not just the cutest?!?  I've colored them up with Distress Inks and a little bit of Copic markers here and there.

The white roses are from my stash, the pink flowers and little gray flowers are made using DooHickey's club kits volumes 5 & 9.  For the leaves and stems I use the Magnolia Rose Leaf and the Leaf & Swirl dies and the stem or branch from the Vintage Box #6.

The patterned papers I've used for this project are called Everlasting by Nitwit Collections.

Good Day To You Friends!

I'm so glad you're here.  I hope all is well on your end, wherever that may be.

I made this card for my dear 85 year old mother in law who is recovering from a couple of surgeries to repair a fissure that just sort of appeared out of nowhere in her stomach.  She is on the mend and doing quite nicely but the recovery isn't fast enough for her.  She wants to get back to teaching water aerobics.

This little sweetie is called Tilda With Bunny Slippers.  I've stamped her with Memento black and colored her with Distress Inks.

The flowers and stems are from my stash, I died a few white mini roses dark blue with Distress Ink and die cut the leaves with the Magnolia Rose Leaves die.

I made the little "pills" in the bottle using heart shaped cookie decorating candies and then inked them with Distress Ink.  Don't you just love those band aid's?  Those are made using the Magnolia Heart Band Aid die.

Here is the patient "chart" or clip board for the doctor's notes, made with several Magnolia dies.  The Heart and Spoon are from the Recipe Card collection, the Thyme is from the Little Italy collection and the stars are from the DooHickey's club volume 9 collection.  I made the clip using the club volume 5 balloon.

For My Mom ♥

Hello My Friends!  Today I bring you a card I made for my mom for Mother's Day.  I'm really trying to be ahead of things this year.  I have colored this gorgeous Spring Rain Tilda with Distress Inks and Markers.

I am using papers from Maja's Vintage Romance collection.  I really love this color combination of the purple, ivory and sage-y green.  

All of my die cuts are Magnolia DooHickey Dies.  I found the pretty butterflies on line and cut them by hand.

Happy 88th Dad

Good Morning Friends!

Hope you have had a great week and a happy Easter.  

Last week for me was CRAZY!  My hubby flew my mom in for my birthday and it turned out to be non stop shopping and dining out.  We did a shrimp boil for Easter dinner (which was FANTASTIC btw), and then it was time for mom to fly back home on Monday.  I went straight from the airport to work.  By the time dinner time came, I had a fever and felt awful but I went to work the next day and Wednesday too.  I just had to call in sick Thursday and Friday but I am recovering nicely.  Unfortunately, I haven't gotten my friend Mick's card out in the post yet (previous post).  Sorry my darling, It will be on it's way tomorrow.  :(

I made this card for my father-in-law for his 88th birthday.  I so love the Magnolia Birthday Cake and Bunting dies from the DooHickey Club volume 5 collection.
