I have been blessed with another grandson! Rush Alexander was born at exactly midnight on Monday, August 20th. Little Rush sure lives up to his name because he was born two weeks early, but he's a healthy little guy and was already sent home yesterday. Mom is doing excellent too.
I know, AWWW, right?
His big brother Tyton...
Thought baby Rush needed more toys. :)
Thank you for putting up with my grammy bragging!

Some Fall Color
Hi everybody!
I hope you all had a most fantastic weekend! I DID, and I want to go on and on about it but I will save that wonderful news for my next post. I'm editing this one slightly. It should have been up on Saturday. However, circumstances being what they were...
I made this card for several blog challenges, and by several I mean about 8 or 9. I did my best to fit in a bunch of criteria such as using a sketch, rich and earthy fall tones, wings, kraft colored cardstock, BMD digital paper and layers. For me, pulling all of these ideas together is a lot of fun and most definitely the way to go.
It's so funny that the flowers in my DP go all directions but now that it's put together you can only see the flowers that are up-side-down. LOL! I used my sweet Honeybee Tilda stamp for this one and colored her with my Copic markers. I wanted to get a little creative with her colors so I used oranges and browns. My sky is done with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The grass is Crayola colored pencil (some day soon I'll get myself some Prismas). I made the large and medium flowers by die cutting, embossing, shaping and assembling. The orange one is actually made with white cardstock and colored using Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I used the same ink to hand dye the seam binding ribbon I used on the tag. I used headpins for the pearls inside the flowers. I like these because they're economical and it's almost impossible to find pearls that don't have two holes to hide.

My Little Stars
Hello my blogging friends! I hope you had a fantastic weekend!
My daughter Jessica's baby shower was Saturday and this is the card I made for her. This Mo Manning image melted my heart because it's like a little glimpse into the future of my grandson Tyton and his little brother, who should be here in a few short weeks.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and used Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the edges of all the papers. Just a bit though, because I wanted the card to stay bright. I chose this color scheme to match the snuggy that I made for my little sweetheart (see picture below). I used the Stitched Wave punch by EK Success to mimic the pattern in it too. That wavy yellow rick-rack was hand dyed by me and I have a ton of it, so it's nice to find a project to use it on. I completely forgot to pull the star tag out of the card and get a pic of it. Sorry about that!

Sending Love
Hello Everyone! I am entering the Totally Tilda DT call. Yikes! Am I too green for that? I know I would LOVE the challenge of it and would do my very best. As you can see from my posts, Magnolia stamps are my favorites and it would be a dream come true to be able to work with them on a design team such as Susie's.
I came up with this design with my youngest daughter Ashley in mind, who just moved back to Tucson to start her 3rd year of college. I can't believe how fast they grow up! SNIF!

I'm really pleased with how this card came out and I wish my photography did it justice. I colored Tilda with Distress Inks to try and give her a more vintage look. I pretty much inked everything except the buttons. The flowers were handmade by die cutting white cardstock and using embossing folders to give each layer some texture. I then inked each layer, cut, shaped and assembled.
The little bird and the doily behind Tilda were inked and covered with Tim Holtz's Holographic embossing powder. Hopefully you can see that I also used some on the tips of the flowers. More of what I used is listed at the bottom of this post.
Here is the inspiration photo for the Totally Tilda DT call. Wish me luck!
